Search and Rescue Dog International Convention

The Search and Rescue Dog International Convention will be reserved only to the competitors and their accompanying persons. The Convention will be held in the afternoon of the 28th of June, in a wonderful 18th century mansion. The large hall will host technical conferences on search and rescue dogs, under the supervision of Professor Grandjean, who is the Director of the Breeding and Sporting Medicine Unit (UMES) at the National Veterinary School of Maisons-Alfort, and also a Colonel in the Paris Fire Brigade. Professor Grandjean will be the technical director of the 2005 edition of the Championships. The drawing of start numbers will occur at the end of the Convention, and it will be followed by a dinner in the park.

The participants will be divided into half groups for the visit of Royal Canin Campus :

  • a state of the art plant,
  • A Research and Development Centre managing an analysis Centre,
  • A kennel of 128 “taster” dogs of 18 different breeds.
  • Simultaneous translation of the speeches and guided visit of the Campus in three languages (French, English and German)

Vari kennels will be at your disposal during the visit and the conferences. The kennels will be watched over. They are individual, safe, insulated, and the temperature can be monitored, to keep an ideal temperature for the dogs (20°C inside when 30-35°C outside).

Note: these vari kennels will also be at the participants’ disposal on the stadium for the rest of the week. They are free and reserved to the competitors only.
