Search
and Rescue Dog International Convention
|
The
Search and Rescue Dog International Convention will be reserved
only to the competitors and their accompanying persons. The
Convention will be held in the afternoon of the 28th of June,
in a wonderful 18th century mansion. The large hall will host
technical conferences on search and rescue dogs, under the supervision
of Professor Grandjean, who is the Director of the Breeding
and Sporting Medicine Unit (UMES) at the National Veterinary
School of Maisons-Alfort, and also a Colonel in the Paris Fire
Brigade. Professor Grandjean will be the technical director
of the 2005 edition of the Championships. The drawing of start
numbers will occur at the end of the Convention, and it will
be followed by a dinner in the park.

The
participants will be divided into half groups for the visit
of Royal Canin Campus :
-
a state of the art plant,
- A
Research and Development Centre managing an analysis Centre,
- A
kennel of 128 “taster” dogs of 18 different breeds.
Simultaneous
translation of the speeches and guided visit of the Campus
in three languages (French, English and German)

Vari
kennels will be at your disposal during the visit and the conferences.
The kennels will be watched over. They are individual, safe,
insulated, and the temperature can be monitored, to keep an
ideal temperature for the dogs (20°C inside when 30-35°C outside).
Note:
these vari kennels will also be at the participants’ disposal
on the stadium for the rest of the week. They are free and reserved
to the competitors only.
